• A new AI copyright class provides the opportunity for your works to be compensated when used in AI services in the future. The AI market is still emerging, and the first licensing models are currently being developed. By including your rights, you become part of this market from the very beginning.
• Teosto's customer agreement starting 17 September 2026
  
  A new AI rights category will be added to the rights managed by Teosto. This category includes both the sound recordings currently managed by Teosto and the lyrics in graphical form approved for Teosto's management in the spring 2025 general meeting, in connection with AI use.
  
  The membership has also approved the adaptation right related to AI use as part of the new AI rights category. As a rights owner, you must give separate consent for the management of adaptation rights.
  
  The aim of these changes is to enable our rights owners to receive compensation for the AI use of their works in the future. For Teosto to make comprehensive agreements on the use of music in AI services, we must have the necessary rights under management.
  
  In connection with the change, two clarifying separate amendments (sections 9 and 13) will also be made to the customer agreement, which do not change current practices. You can familiarise yourself with the new customer agreement via this link »
