When did you start singing?
-
My singing career started very young. I was 6 years old when I won my first singing competition. At that time, my mother played the accordion a lot, so I think that’s where our whole family’s enthusiasm for music largely came from. Especially for the girls.
Both my mother’s and father’s families are very musical.
Indeed, I’ve been singing my whole life. There are four of us sisters, and we all sing.
Anne, Anniina, Anitta, and I am the youngest.

When did you start performing at dance pavilions?
-
My sister Anne started performing at dance pavilions at the age of 13, and I began going to the pavilions with her when I was just 10 years old.
So, dance pavilions became familiar to me at a very young age. I then started singing at dance pavilions myself at the age of 15, performing my own gigs with a band.
I’m still on that path and am extremely satisfied with the path I’ve chosen.

What music genres do you like to sing?
-
I once participated in the Idols singing competition. I dropped out because I like to sing all kinds of music. I enjoy singing blues, jazz, schlager, dance music. I don’t like being pigeonholed into a genre, but the sad truth is that if you’re a schlager singer, you’re always categorized as that, or you’re a pop singer or whatever. You have that certain genre you’re known for.
That’s why I chose dance music and schlager, because I can sing so many different styles within them.
I love dance music.
