A spectacular guest event for the Finnish Jolla phone will be held on July 8, 2026, at the Helsinki Kulturhuset.
The new Jolla arrives at just the right time, now that awareness has grown regarding phone privacy protection, so that no external party can read or store users' personal data.
Jolla Phone is not just a smartphone, but also a testament to Europe building its own technology on its own terms, says Sami Pienimäki, CEO of Jolla.
Jolla Phone does not send background data, contain hidden analytics, or require a separate Google account.
The new Jolla Phone also includes a privacy switch that can disable the microphone, camera, and other sensors.
Final assembly of Jolla phones, software installation, and quality control are carried out in Finland, in Salo.
"We chose Salo as our assembly location as a tribute to Finnish phone expertise and tradition," says Sami Pienimäki, CEO of Jolla.
